Gathering their wedding party Brittaney & Brian strolled through downtown Toronto to their Steam Whistle wedding ceremony.
Their Steam Whistle wedding was the perfect venue for Brittaney and Brian.
“Steam Whistle was the first stop and the one we compared all the others to. The exposed brick, wood beams, elegant and yet, rustic lighting fit our style.”
Brittaney and Brian, who live in Vancouver had guests arriving from all over the globe. Celebrating their nuptials in a Toronto based wedding was the perfect central spot.
The day started with the wedding party parading through Toronto. Taking time out for a one of a kind first look, they arrived at the venue to be greeted by family and friends ready to party the night away.
Brittaney and Brian were surprised how little their nervousness played into the day.
“We were both so excited to see each other and to spend time with all of our favourite people. Planning for a wedding certainly came with a fair share of stresses and on the day, none of it mattered because we were together and that was the one constant throughout that we couldn’t wait to celebrate.”
The ceremony and exchanging of vows was tailored to create a truly unique ceremony. Personally written vows, and saying “I promise” to how they would show up for one another in their marriage.
“Wayde, our wedding officiant, was certainly a fan-favourite. To this day, we still hear friends and family refer to our ceremony as being one of, if not the best, they’ve ever witnessed or participated in.”
Brittaney and Brian also wanted to honour their dearly departed mothers during the ceremony in a simple and moving tribute.
“Because both mine and Brian’s mother’s are no longer with us, we acknowledged their presence with a candle lighting at the beginning of our ceremony and kept the candles burning on our head table throughout the night – that was really special as well because we had Brittaney’s aunt light her mom’s candle, and Brian’s mother’s best friend/like sister light hers.”
The wedding was lively, rustic and perfectly uncomplicated. Much like the couple themselves. Brittaney and Brian said it best when asked to sum up the day.
“If we had to do it all over again we wouldn’t change a thing!”

“We honestly love them all. How do we pick? These both captured the perfect moment!”
