Laura + Lee held their Santorini destination wedding in a late afternoon ceremony, overlooking the caldera.

At their Santorini destination wedding, Laura + Lee celebrated their love and years together as a couple. The date holding a very significant milestone in their relationship.

“We chose May as the date for our wedding as that was our ten year anniversary.”

Laura + Lee were surprised and thrilled how well guests got along. Some had only met that day, yet seemed to have known each other for years.

Laura + Lee wanted a laid-back day; where everyone would be able to relax and enjoy themselves. A large wedding wasn’t as important to them, as the celebration of their marriage.

“We were lucky enough to have a lovely home together and then welcome our wonderful son Cooper into the world in 2014. We had all we needed, so it was a lovely surprise when lee proposed on Christmas Eve 2016 with a ring he designed himself. We didn’t want or need a big wedding so we knew instantly we wanted to go abroad to get married. “

Even getting married in a Santorini Destination Wedding, Laura + Lee did manage to bring some Scottish traditions along with them.

“… luckily our brother in law Rich Gordon is a professional bagpiper and he played me down the aisle and after we were married. Lee’s brother Mike is a chef so he made Scottish tablet for wedding favours. We also had Caledonia by Dougie Mclean as our first dance, and Loch Lomond as the last dance.”

It was a brilliant evening outside, capturing the beauty of Santorini. The reception dinner was held poolside. Guests gathered to dine at one long table, creating a cozy family atmosphere.

“We then had a gorgeous meal with everyone at the same table. Managed to have our first dance outside, before moving the party indoors where we danced all night. We had some lovely cocktails, then had Greek kebabs at the end of the night.”

It was the perfect relaxed day. One filled with laughter and love, exactly what Laura + Lee were looking for.
