Yesterday Steve and Tara conducted our daughter's wedding on Whistler mountain and the post wedding photos back in town. Tara photographed our wedding this past August, as well as our engagement photos, and they are amazing. She is very professional and really knows her stuff. We worked with Tara and Steve through Whistler Elopements and we had an amazing experience. We couldn’t be happier with how our photos turned out – it is really hard to choose our favourites! The photo galleries were sent to us shortly after our wedding day, which was so exciting. Tara shot our engagement photoshoot and Tara and her husband Steve together shot our wedding. We did our engagement shoot in Whistler and it happened to be pouring rain in the village the day we travelled all the way from Victoria to do it. Luckily Tara knew a spot we could drive to at a higher elevation so the rain would actually be snow and we ended up with the most magical winter wonderland photos! On our wedding day the rain struck again slightly derailing our wedding day timeline / photo plans for the day. Tara and Steve were in touch with our planner and wedding party throughout the day (taking this off our hands) and took charge of adjusting the timeline and coming up with new shooting locations based on the weather conditions. I was definitely stressed watching my plans be derailed and they could both sense this and brought the best calming / cheerful energy as well as taking care of any of the logistical things so I didn’t have to worry - seriously they were ON TOP OF IT. I was also told by my planning team that they were helping them out with their tasks and drying off chairs etc before the ceremony as well! We are so thrilled with how our photos turned out. Highly recommend hiring Tara if you want 1) happy calm vibes 2) an experienced professional who is not thrown by last minute challenges 3) someone who is organized and will make sure everything stays on time and 4) beautiful photos!

Steve was our photographer for our wedding in May 2022 and he was the best choice by far! He has so much knowledge about the best scenery in Whistler and put what we were envisioning for photographs to life. It’s hard to even know where to start with this review. Tara is incredible. She is as talented as she is kind, and she is precisely the type of person you hope to share such an intimate and important day with. She managed to capture these amazing little details - like how I held my dad’s hand before walking down the aisle, to the sweeping mountain views of our outdoor ceremony in the snow. Our elopement wouldn't have been what it was without the help of Tara and Steve. We did things a little backwards, having known Steve since University, and seeing how stunning their work was, I insisted on planning our elopement to include their photography. Steve was super easy going and extremely accommodating. They scoped out our original elopement location and after some assessment and open communication, he guided us to a much more private location that really fulfilled our hopes for the day. Haydn and I burn the candle at both ends in our work and our play- and it was so refreshing to have the days' pace be slower and methodical with a little spontaneity. The BEST. Tara and Steve are a fantastic husband + wife team! I had the good fortune of meeting Tara when she photographed our friends wedding 7 years ago, and since then I have been following their incredible journey on social media. When Tara announced that they would be doing a tour of destination weddings last year, we jumped at the opportunity to lock them in for our own wedding, feeling secure in the knowledge then that our wedding photography would be amazing. Tara was initially booked in as the photographer, however due to unforeseen circumstances, she was unable to attend and, in the week leading up to the wedding her husband Steve jumped in and booked a ticket to Valence. He literally travelled from Canada to France to photograph our wedding and back in the space of two days, it was unbelievable. We hadn’t met Steve prior, but we were not concerned in the slightest. We knew the quality of Tara Lilly Photography and was 100% comfortable with the change. And on the actual day, he was fantastic. He has an incredible knack of making everyone feel at ease, his style and approach was completely in line with what we wanted for the day. Needless to say, we are in love with the outcome. Our day was beautifully captured, and the photos are a wonderful reminder of that very special time for us. The overall experience from Tara and Steve was fantastic from start to finish, and I cannot recommend them enough. Their adventures give me constant wanderlust, and I am in complete admiration of all that they continue to achieve and strive for.

Stephen and I can't say enough good things about Steve and Tara. They spontaneously caught our engagement out at Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas. They approached in the middle of our engagement and joined in the celebration with us. They even had champagne for us; what are those odds!! They generously shared the images they captured with us and they assisted us in looking for a wedding photographer when they were already booked. Professionally, they exceeded our expectations, were very down to earth, and happy to help us in any way that they could. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Tara and Steve for our engagement photos and wedding day photos in 2012 and 2013, and are so grateful for the beautiful images they captured of that special time. They captured so many awesome candid moments from our wedding, which we are so happy to now have as memories. We got married in January, and when we suggested doing a few photos outside I thought they would hesitate because it was so cold. But instead, their eyes lit up and I knew they were thinking of unique ideas for photos to capture outside. They took us on the streetcar, got some shots of us walking down the street, in a local bakery, and on the grounds of our venue in the snow. They were totally game to have fun with us, get beautiful snowy photos, even with the cooler temperature. Fast forward five years, and Steve was able to come photograph us with our new baby. She was pretty unhappy the whole time, as new babies can be, but Steve was super relaxed which made us relaxed, and we got these beautiful images of us together as a new family of three in our home.
