Michelle and Colin: Embracing Love, Mountains, and Endless Adventures at Glacier Valley Farm Wedding

Michelle and Colin’s love story took an unexpected turn when Michelle, initially focusing on self-discovery, found herself in Whistler for a spontaneous trip. Unbeknownst to her, her friend had plans for her to meet Colin, her friend’s boyfriend’s best friend, in the lineup. Colin and Michelle hit it off, and despite the geographical distance between them (Colin lived in Ontario), their connection deepened over adventurous backcountry trips in BC. Frequent visits and shared adventures soon became the norm, and Colin’s regular trips to Vancouver turned their love story into a beautifully unconventional journey culminating in a Glacier Valley Farm wedding!

Colin’s proposal was a picturesque moment during a hike in Sooke. At the summit, overlooking mountains and ocean, he surprised Michelle with a luxury picnic and, when she turned to pose for pictures, he was on one knee. The spontaneity and genuine surprise added a touch of magic to this unforgettable moment.

For their wedding, Michelle and Colin envision a simple yet elegant celebration with the majestic mountains as their backdrop. Renting the farm lodge for a few days, they plan to immerse their guests in the breathtaking views, fostering an understanding of their love for the outdoors. Originally from Ontario, the couple is now calling BC home, drawn to the mountains and the spirit of adventure.

Their desire for an authentic and unique celebration translates into a wedding free from some traditional elements like cake cutting and a long ceremony. Instead, the focus will be on the dance floor and creating a lively atmosphere for guests to truly enjoy. Having lived globally for school, work, and travel, Michelle and Colin are excited to bring together friends from different corners of the world, allowing them to finally meet in person and celebrate the love that unites them.
