On a sunny day in the middle of winter, Tara and Mark had the most beautiful wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Chalet. Tara shared that one of the only things they wanted for their wedding was SNOW. We are glad Whistler could deliver.

Tara and Mark first met when Tara was singing in a barbershop choir. A woman in the choir attempted a weakly veiled set up for Tara, which actually put things in motion for these two, to meet, become good friends and finally fall in love.

Weddings have become a big part of our lives but did you know that we also love a good proposal story? Tara + Mark’s Proposal Story:

Tara and Mark’s story is really about perfect timing, and sometimes that’s letting the universe decide. Mark carried around the ring for 6 months trying to propose to Tara. He kept hoping that every celebration would be the right time, but with a new puppy, sickness kept getting in the way. Knowing that fate would prevail, Mark got his chance when on their 4th Anniversary they spent a beautiful weekend away. Patiently waiting for the right time, Mark kept hoping that somewhere in Vancouver would be perfect but it was just too busy and no where seemed quite right. When Tara decided to enjoy the winter walk with their puppy, Mark seized the opportunity. He set up candles all around the room; creating a beautiful ambiance. When she returned, Mark was down on one knee surrounded by the Christmas tree and glowing fireplace. We can just picture the perfection of this moment. Their winter proposal was definitely present here, in their stunning December wedding. We think December may continue to be a very special time for these two, with one more celebration to add to the pile.
