The Cheakamus Centre wedding venue is an incredible option for couples who are looking for a mixture of modern architecture and a lush, natural environment. The centre is primarily an ecological nature preserve sitting on 165 hectares of incredible land just outside of Squamish British Columbia. Year after year, it’s a finalist in the best wedding venues in British Columbia and we couldn’t agree more!

Located an easy one hour from Vancouver or 30 minutes from Whistler, the centre is convenient for weddings with any number of guests, whether you are locals or planning a destination wedding. They also offer accommodation for an entire weekend getaway if a one-day celebration just isn’t enough. It’s truly a beautiful place to relax and enjoy your Squamish wedding.

Catering –The Cheakamus Centre offers full-service from their culinary team. You can eat happily knowing that the food feeding your guests was created using sustainable and locally sourced products whenever possible. Their team practices zero waste and promote environmental stewardship in all they do. They offer a variety of options for all budgets, along with bar options as well.

Wedding Planner – This venue does not require a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. They have an on-site event manager who will be responsible for coordinating the events leading up to, during, and after your wedding. If you would like to hire a wedding planner, the centre would be more than happy to work alongside them!

Accommodation: There are limited options for accommodation at the centre! They do have shared cabins and one private cabin, should you want it. However, they do have preferred rates at hotels nearby!

Ceremony and Reception Room Options

LEED® Platinum certified BlueShore Environmental Learning Centre (ELC) venue: At the heart of the Cheakamus Centre, the modern ELC venue sits elevated from the forest floor. For up to 200 people, this building offers indoor or outdoor wedding space

The forest: Surrounded by an old-growth forest, the centre has plenty of absolutely stunning outdoor ceremony spots. The centre provides chairs and altar decor as well.
